A survivor from Stafford waited 5 years for justice. The trial was pushed back, and back, and back. No one should have to live under that cloud for so long. We can’t change what happened, but we can fix the system that’s still failing victims. I support the Government's work on getting this right.

Celebrating this INCREDIBLE progress at County Hospital and Royal Stoke! With the hard work of staff, and investment from the Government, we are seeing real progress. I know there’s still work to do, particularly in urgent care, and I’ll keep campaigning for an Urgent Treatment Centre in Stafford.

In the UK, 53 million tyres are disposed of every year – around 500,000 tonnes of rubber going to landfill. I popped by ReGen Earth to see the good work happening locally. Amazingly, they have a renewable solution to this problem – great for the planet and for creating good jobs in our community.

Victory for Church Eaton residents, as I've worked with them to FINALLY get decent phone signal! When the Parish Council raised this with me, I raised the issue in Parliament and went straight to VodafoneThree's CEO to ask them to urgently turn the mast on. The mast is now live - what a result!

I’m pleased to see £19 million committed to Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent through the new Connect to Work scheme. That means up to 5,250 local people will get 1 to 1 support to help get back into work. This is great news - good work transforms lives and strengthens our whole community.

Young people with SEND should have the chance to explore careers and build confidence through work experience. Walton Hall Academy have told me the challenges they face securing placements for their students - I’ll keep pressing in Parliament and working with local employers to help drive change.

Really valued my recent visit to the Brockington Parent and Baby Unit at St George’s Hospital in Stafford, who do incredible to support families’ mental health and wellbeing during early parenthood. It’s amazing that of only 50 units like this globally, we have one right here on our doorstep!

My recent Bus Services Roundtable brought together representatives from all local operators to talk timetables, routes, roadworks, and how we can make services work better for local people. We have already agreed on some route changes that could make a big difference, watch this space!

Got together with local business owners and Stafford Borough Council for a planning sesh about the future of Stafford High Street. One key issue is parking, especially in the evenings. I'll be looking into how to make visiting town more accessible by improving car parking and public transport.

Getting to know the team at Katharine House Hospice has been one my real highlights since I was elected. I’m thrilled that they’re getting £300,000 from the Government’s national hospice fund - it's a huge boost for a service that means so much to our community.

Blood test delays are becoming a real problem in Stafford. There are 20 venues in north Staffordshire, but just one in the south. It’s not fair, our area is being left behind. I called for a debate on access to primary care, because everyone should be able to access blood tests when they need them.

Loved having some brilliant local young people up in the Public Gallery! If we’re serious about giving every child the best start in life, that has to include youth services and proper citizenship education. We need to help young people know that their voices count.

The Government is running a national consultation on how flood funding is allocated. Had a really good time at another local business event with Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. Always great to catch up with local business owners and hear what’s going on. We talked about a lot - apprenticeships, the Employment Rights Bill, planning delays , and digital inequality.
