I was proud to meet the Palestinian Head of Mission to the UK with Scottish Labour MPs last week. Yesterday, we recognised the State of Palestine. A historic move by the UK Labour Government. Now we need an immediate ceasefire, free flow of humanitarian aid and release of hostages.

It was great to visit Clydebank Job Centre today and meet with the Service Leader for Central Scotland to discuss local employment and how I can assist in boosting job rates for our youth. I look forward to working together to get people into good, well-paid work.

Poorer communities should not be without access to life-saving health equipment. 63% of West Dunbartonshire postcodes are out of direct reach of a defibrillator. Those who vandalise these vital machines must be dealt with accordingly in order to reduce this unfair inequality.

It was great to visit the West College Scotland Clydebank campus this morning on their first day of term. College Principal Anne Campbell and I discussed the skills so vital for future employment opportunities in defence, energy and renewables and how the College can support this.

It was great to visit Yoker Community Campus today for the re-launch event of their Carers Pop In Café. The café is on every Friday from 10:30am to 12pm and provides an incredible support network for carers in the local community to chat in a friendly, warm space.

I am pleased to hear that Yoker Community Campus are officially re-launching their Carers Pop In Café tomorrow. This offers a welcoming environment where carers can take a break, connect with others & access useful resources & information. No bookings, just drop in.

It was great to visit Street Soccer Scotland at one of their drop in sessions today at Holm Park. These free sessions run every Thursday 12-1:30pm, offering a welcoming space to connect, stay active & access support through football. Thanks to Brendan, Gerry & the team for having me!
