The National Lottery Community Fund supports communities to thrive with funding for local projects. Several groups across the Bathgate & Linlithgow constituency have successfully secured funding for their projects from gala days to allotments, litter picking and community hubs.

Yesterday I attended a powerful drop-in event on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in Parliament hosted by the PCOS charity Verity. PCOS affects 1 in 8 women in the UK impacting reproductive, metabolic and mental health. Yet treatment and support is inaccessible to many women.

I've been working with Bathgate residents affected by RAAC for several months now and had invited the previous Housing Minister to visit but the invite was not accepted. I'm glad that the the new Cabinet Secretary for Housing will meet with Bathgate residents.

Last week I visited the Linlithgow Repair Shop – a brilliant volunteer-led initiative run by the @trustlinlithgow.bsky.social. The shop’s mission is to encourage repair and reuse to reduce waste, save money, and lower the carbon footprint of manufacturing new products. Watch 👇
