When I say I love the art of non-artists, they look at me like "you mean you think it's FUNNY." and I'm not denying that a lot of it IS funny but I genuinely love to see the decisions that people make who are not part of the art world, who don't have all our hang-ups. It leads to unique choices!!

Absolutely and without reservation seconding everything Jess says in this thread. I think all the time about Lynda Barry carefully and dutifully copying the drawings of her students into her own sketchbooks to learn from them and loving most especially the art from adults who think they canโt draw.

Back when I was a kid we were taught to not trust people online, but that's impossible because everyone is online now. What I propose is a new rule: Don't trust anyone telling you something in a front facing video.

New: I spoke to Rev. Babs Miller, a lesbian pastor at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin, who has known James Talarico since he was "Jimmy." They told me about how Talarico's church formed his support for queer and trans people from a young age.

For James Talarico, his stance on transgender rights flows from faith
"When you grow up with that, you just kind of assume that that's normal."

There's no such thing as fixating on solar too much everyone who tells you otherwise is a petrocucked gas-cel. Imagine favoring extractive resource hoarding instead of transitioning towards a collective harvest mentality, gas-cels down tremendous get absolutely fusion-mogged.
