If indie animation is gonna have any viability, I must stress that it is important to have a good producer to figure out the money and manage the production team. I will keep banging this drum because it isnt enough to have skilled artists or writers without someone who can manage resources.

Tumbler Ridge is a small planned resource community, a winding 90 minute drive from the nearest city of at least 10,000 people. A massive number of people are going to descend there tomorrow. May those that arrive have respect and grace for the unimaginable grief.

Two things I’m not sure is widely understood: 1. Many public servants no longer have their own desks and work in transient government co-working spaces 2. Many describe a Kafkaesque existence of going to physical offices only to spend their time on video calls with the people sitting next to them

Did you know that B.C. had a program that funded before and after-school care for kindergarteners IN the classroom - and included an ECE for schooltime as well? Parents will realize how big a deal this is. The province has now ended the funding for this.

While reporting this, I had something happen that's never happened. A comms rep for one of the co's disputed my reporting and said what I was telling them was untrue because it was not in Grok, xAI's chatbot. I was looking directly at the files. And this person was using AI to challenge the truth.

If anyone else wants an Adobe Animate alternative, I can’t recommend Moho enough. It’s affordable, it’s efficient, it’s been used in feature films from Cartoon Saloon like Wolfwalkers, and the best part…NO Ai whatsoever.

I also recommend this for anybody who has an interest in safety or security. The basic ideas talked about are relevant in any field where you want to build a system that is resilient to human error. I'm in cyber security and found it very relevant to my mindset.
