Canada has little control of its police. The lack of accountability is very similar to elsewhere. The police call efforts to oversee them: micromanagement or politicizing policing. All policing is political, the only question is who are making the decisions of the who, how, what of policing.

X and its owner have long become a megaphone for the far right, a venue that is actively used to encourage abuse and violence.
