The whole point of this scene was to mock Disney's emphasis on "beauty" in animation. So instead of beauty, they purposely made the deer sexy. To pull it off, they hired a stripper to film some footage. That footage of the stripper was then used for rotoscoping. What you're seeing is the end result.

Project Hail Mary, is proof that we can make a difference. artists a lot of the time feel like what we do doesn't matter in all this, but this movie has me thinking about what more I can do to make a difference, and so many people will see this movie. Man…not Sam Keith…dude was genius that knew how blend surrealism, with gothic overtones with cartoonish detailed and exaggerated designs. The Maxx was definitely his magnum opus that serves as a surreal psychological deconstruction of the superhero genre. RIP Goat…💔🥀

I find this completely believable. I’m on the top end of gen-Z but I find people in my age group and younger spot AI imagery instantly and it’s often taken as an indicator of corporate insincerity. Meanwhile a lot of older people I know can’t tell the difference and workplace management pushes it.
