Here's a bit cut from Li'l Pastcals! This was a really special episode to work on, because I actually got to give a little presentation on how to emulate that Fleischer cartoon look. Here, I thought it'd be fun to channel the 2D/3D setbacks--it was cut for time and logistics, but still SO FUN to do!

I've been maintaining a years' long campaign to redraw Patrick into every cartoon starfish I encounter

My knack for making Everything about my favorites continues to be an impenetrable force! A half-baked joke turns into a Thing as I think about it more than 5 seconds. Daffy, creature of impulse and bad decisions, serving as Porky’s conscience (better morals, but impressionable) is very compelling

I don't think I'll ever get past the novelty and special-ness of flipping through SpongeBob on the TV guide and going "Oh, hey I worked on that one! I worked on THAT one!". There should be an episode where it's revealed SpongeBob has a long lost sibling who's having a kid, and it'll be a Very Special Episode where SpongeBob becomes an uncle, and we can call it Bob's Your Uncle. Just something to think about.

I just found out that this is a movie that exists and I don’t think I’ve ever had such a visceral need to see a movie. I fear that this may be the best movie ever made. I can just feel it. This was made me for me.

They played “Wet Cement” at the Hollywood Bowl last night, and I’m still in denial over it. Waited 5 years to see this happen! Can’t help but reminisce about how wonderful our “Looney Tunes Cartoons” team truly was. I miss the fun we had. Would love to do it all again if I could!

Patrick’s 4! Eh, his show, that is! It has been one of my greatest honors to be a part—I’m staggered by the amount of talent and love I’m surrounded by on the show. It always feels like the best is yet to come—look forward to it! (We’ll take his word that the cake was yummy too.)

Using food to show where I grew up

I know there have been so many parodies of the Care Bears and the tooth rotting saccharinity within, but this wins not by being mean, but for just how long it goes on (and, of course, the British humor—I love the use of “winsome” here). Duckula has such a great comedic rhythm

Duck Dodgers has had an obscenely impressive barrage of celebrity guest stars, but Brian Wilson's short-yet-sweet cameo is definitely one of the most memorable IMO. RIP :(
