The Land of Cadbury 1997-2005 Cadbury in Canada tried their own spin on Easter mythology with the Great Bunny and his bustling land made of chocolate, spawning a book and a TV special. The bunny remains in Australasia as the Cadbury Easter Bunny, but his land is not quite as magical as it once was.

The franchise was renamed The Magical Land of Cadbury in Australasia and the UK, to avoid confusion with the concurrent and much quirkier Cadbury Land range.

Grimace has been a beloved McDonaldland citizen for decades, but that wasn’t always the case. He was once known as EVIL GRIMACE, a shake-stealing, four-armed monster, as seen in this 1971 sheet of “Slappyhappy” stickers. Within two years, he lost the extra arms and went legit.

Drawings Rolo 1980-1991 Throughout the 1980's, advertising for Rolo depicted cartoonists showing their living doodles their love by offering them or drawing a partner to give them their last Rolo. The ads were animated by Eric Goldberg and/or artists at Richard Williams, Pizazz Pictures and Klacto.

Though each ad focused on different doodles and artists, a girl from the ad 'Stereo' became a mainstay outside of TV, appearing in colour on boxes of Rolo eggs at first alongside a boy from two ads from the mid-80's. Packaging in 1989 would bring back the girl, apparently having met someone else.

This vintage Officer Big Mac sign is super unique - it feels like a one-off local piece in some ways, but the design elements are so perfect that I can’t say for sure. It’s likely from the late 70s or early 80s.
