Weird! I'm on myatproto and I'm not seeing anything weird with my own account. But I did see that same error message you posted when I tried to look at someone else's profile earlier today. Might be something weird floating around with Bluesky!

Fan of Raindrop.io with it not needing to be e2e. I used delicious, then pinboard then raindrop. I'm using Semble for public bookmarking collections related to ATProto in particular at the moment too now.

There is a reason why Blacksky chose ATProto instead of joining the fediverse, think about that. Picking a PDS/AppView is definitely not easier than picking a server.

And actually there's some stuff (usually stuff that can fuck up your atproto identity account state) that last i checked requires your main password, not an app password, and doesn't have an oauth scope.

I think there are several roads to safety with your social identity on atprotocol. That is why you may see me pop up on a lot of different projects trying to help if I can. Together we are stronger and can help a lot of people. And I think and hope we can continue to help them together.

My colleagues at @inkandswitch.com, especially @orionreed.com, are taking a look and seeing how WebTiles might work with @automerge.org and our malleable software tools Patchwork. Where they would potentially want less coupling with ATProto. Lots to consider.

atproto dev is so thankless

atproto isnt the best for real-time stuff. And also, you might not want all your chats to be publicly available (no private data yet) I think using atproto for identity would be good, but the rest would have to be off-protocol

I'm still sitting on my 2026 resolutions of finishing my read of the atproto. I think this situation will make me read it earlier than I thought. I just need to put it in pdf so I can read it on my eink tablet, and I have something worth quite a few bedtime stories :)
