My hack project before #AtmosphereConf @atproto.science: try and set up live streaming of scientific data (e.g. astronomical transients) on AT Protocol, which would give a decentralized & authenticated way to broadcast time-critical scientific results worldwide

I think bluesky needs a version of @joshuajfriedman.com for academics. At this conference, I've had to explain to several people not to use the discover feed (and why they need to follow more people), how the algorithm works, the general push for alt text, and the reason why 1/2
