2025 was special for us. We decided not to host a global DWeb Camp, but we committed to enable the flourishing of local events and Nodes. Many people from all over the planet joined our networked community! @mai.bsky.social wrote a blog post collecting all the DWeb memories from the past year.

Finland uses “Russia-gauge” rails. They are going to move to European compatible rail gauge for their own resilience. This is what we should be thinking about for moving to open social away from American platforms: it should come with significant spending commitments & is absolutely necessary.
