beyond excited to be giving a talk at #ATmopshereConf and officially unveiling @habitat.network! i'll be talking about how we're trying to get away from skeumorphism (callback to @rude1.blacksky.team's talk from last year) and building for privacy-first usecases on the protocol. can't wait 🌱

will be really interesting to see what the bluesky team lands on and how it differs from @habitat.network! we're building for small groups and they're building for the ~millions of users case. "apps can see your data" feels like an example where different goals lead to different technical outcomes

From @eff.org's annual email today: "Your personal data shouldn’t feed a surveillance state" It shouldn't, but the reality is that as long as it can, it will. Which is why data privacy (private data?) is still the biggest open question for me when it comes to ATProto. More thoughts on that soon...
