My week-end side-project: make a PDS, maybe. So far I've skimmed the spec, and started playing with @rivet.gg. I'll be using existing libraries wherever possible, so it's not like an independent reimplementation. I'm going more for a customizable repackaging of the reference PDS if possible.

today we had a class of young students (12-14 yr old) came to visit the @aial.ie on campus. they were so keen to learn about AI and most importantly I was blown away by the type of questions they asked us: water consumption of data centers, how openai makes money, why RAM prices keep going up, ...

Just been refactoring an AWS Amplify Gen 2 app With more data than when originally building & testing it's striking how slow it is making graphql requests v hitting local db via Datastore in Gen 1 (yes, buggy as hell), or even better, building with Earthstar 🤩 (earthstar-project.org) #localfirst
