I unironically support this. I tried to be a Wayland user for about a year and a half and I consciously, knowingly, and researchedly switched back to X11. My perf on Wayland was worse. My battery life was worse. My stability was worse. My security was Not Better. It was zero upsides.

Wish more software projects just published their CLI help text and their API schemas as docs. Reading a schema is by far the fastest way I know to figure out what a piece of software can and cannot do.

it is great when folks build software on sqlite b/c that is basically a standard interface that devs can interop with w/o building app-specific tooling. VFS is a similarly great low-level interface/abstraction...

eg, implementing something like Dropbox in a cross platform way is so much harder than an HTTP API. maybe if we standardized and learned from S3 we could reclaim some of the juice of files
