Was discussing King w/ book friends and remembered the time my mom bought me a bunch of his paperbacks at the fleamarket for me when I was 12 just because I wanted them. It was my first exposure to king; I read in the car otw home. It's one of my favorite memories as a perfect day with my mom.

Living in NYC (a dream), being in communities I love, spending evenings writing with friends, and now having a book come out that ends up side by side with Eric LaRocca... is not a life I ever thought would be mine. And yet.
