Tbh im not a huge fan of games series that have been away for a while coming back with a glossy remake that is simultaneously way too faithful to the original to the original while also like not replicating the visual appeal of it at all. Like make some new levels at least.

I've enjoyed Charlaton Wonder's videos before but hes really gone quite insane over Pathalogic 3. Like sure he didnt like it, whatever, but pouring over other reviews to identify screenshots from a press kit he believes is proof the reviewer didnt play the game is insane behaviour.

So I caught a bit of a show my housemate was watching. The story involved catfishing a guy and the writers answer to the question 'what's an incredibly on the nose username a guy named Phillip would use on basically grindr?' Was 'almost exactly my xbox live username from 2010'.

I think the greatest trick for getting good at creative work i know is - finish making as many mediocre things as possible. Just finish stuff, again and again. Share it or don’t, but put a bow on it, put it aside, make the next thing, repeat.

Tragic: settling down to listen to a multi hour youtube video where a guy reads an Agatha Christie novel and tries to see if they can solve the murder, but he pronounces Poirot 'Pie-rot' and its so infuriating you have to turn it off within 5 mins.

I should prolly post more WIP stuff here between updates. So heres a partial preview of an upcoming page but with only my shade and effect layers on. I tend to block out lighting/shades in bright colours, majes it easier to see what's been done already. It also looks kinda neat imo!

Work continues on the next update for Maple Blossom Hits Rock Bottom! 1 out of 10 pages are finished, which sounds bad but the other 9 just need shading. Was aiming to update this weekend but Looking to take a bit longer. There is no schedule but I think these pages will be worth the wait!

I've been in a good place like artisticaly recently. More productive than I've been a long time. I think I'm slipping back into being a neurotic self hating weirdo about it though and I gotta like not do that. Like Ive gotten better over the past little while why on earth do I hate my art more now?

Whenever i turn my tablet on and its decided to restart for some update or something it forgets what my desktop background was set to. My background comes back automatically after a while but why? Used windows for decades and now absolutely basic stuff just doesnt work for no reason. Its baffling.
