Hello #meetthewebcomic! It's the "Projection Edge," a cosmic plane connected to trillions upon trillions of minds across the universe! And, in this world where dogs and cats are intelligent but subservient to humans, this plane is allowing one canine mind to bring out change! But is it good--or bad?

Apart from it taking five minutes to find a shopping cart and the store being completely out of bags (fortunately, we had our own), this afternoon's shopping went rather well!

Short day for me today, and then I don't have to return to work until Monday. Unfortunately tonight Tim and I have to mega-shop for Christmas food (many of my recipes require fresh mushrooms, ergo the last-minuteness) so here's hoping I don't spend the Holly Jollyday with broken bones.

So a YouTube vid I watched used clips of whatever show Gordon Ramsay hosts. ... I'm sorry, who finds this nasty, horrible, ugly bully entertaining? Don't say it's all in fun when I get flashbacks of having to live with that kind of abusive behavior.

Food for thought. The "Disco Sucks" movement was borne out of sheer homophobia, but it did, at the time, "kill" disco. So, music from then on was all MAN IS MAN AND WOMAN IS WOMAN from then on, right? Ah, no. Three years later Culture Club and Eurythmics topped the charts. This too shall pass.

OK, I found a YouTube video with an hour and a half of 70s disco gold, so that should do me for now. Sorry about this, but this pic is very complicated and I need the vibe to stay in the mood! I'll stay out of your way. ;)

OK, Kamelot is pretty damn good. (Album: "Haven.") There is hope. I think they won me over with the synthesizer solo in "Citizen Zero." ...AAAAND then the song after that goes into the double-bass thing again, but I don't mind that once in a while! OK. Head down, dawg.

I have a complicated relationship with metal. There's some nostalgia feels to it via memories of my wayward youth riding around in my brother's car, Savatage blaring from the speakers. And I've recently discovered when it's done just right, like with Silent Force, it's an uplifting experience. (1/3)

These things were the first artz I posted on the internet back in 1997. And I never thought about the clout or the fame, just the fun in doing it. (The fame would have been NICE, but seeing others' online work was the PRIME motivation.) I don't regret it, I'm still here, and better than ever.)

I have a deep knee-jerk hatred for misogyny. I don't mean to imply that it's heavily infused in C&H, but at the least, "Get Rid Of Slimy girlS" has not...ahem...aged well for me.

Ugh. Okay. I feel like explaining something about my worldview. One thing I never could get behind in C&H was that only Hobbes was "real." And I get this is based around Calvin, and he's not supposed to be the ideal protagonist, but... in my heart I felt like he was being undeservedly "rewarded."

I've honestly been drawing as long as I remember, but I can point to two defining moments in particular: 1) 1981: discovering I could draw Tom and Jerry better if I actually imitated what I saw, and 2) 1991: seeing an indie cartoon magazine in my college's student union and deciding "I can do that."
