One weird quirk is I used to draw lying down on my stomach, which was ok for real media. @cooner.art @projectionedge.bsky.social both lived with me sprawled out while THEY drew at, yanno, a desk. Digital, not so much. But after futzing with the settings today...I realized it's not that far off?

Warm up doodle went longer than expected. I've kinda though Alan Ritchson would make a pretty good human Vlad, body too! He's at least a decade younger, but I imagine Vlad's age-ambiguous at best. So he was the basis for the more realistic middle version, before I tooned out per usual.

Teh hubby wanted this to be part of the image, but I thought it was getting cluttered. That IS why I changed Cody's expression.

This is what it feels like every day as a cartoony or non-realism/painterly artist and the majority of the art prized in your line of work is realism/painterly T_T There are so many fantastic styles out there, I just wish ppl would stop seeing cartoony/non-realism as "kiddy" or "unprofessional"

I don't usually do this, but an excellent upper back/rear deltoid workout tip for all my fitness oriented buds: 1) Adopt a good-natured but criminally uncooperative sled dog. 2) Walk him 2 hours a day. It's basically like having a 100-lb medicine ball. Now if only he would work my front delts...

Don't know why I'm seeing all these "nostalgic about the 80s" posts. I was **NEVER** nostalgic for that decade, good riddance. Life really sucked around '83 on, before stabilizing in the 90s. Huh. Actually, I just realized my life got better right around when I learned how to draw men.
