So I've reinked the prologue...now what? Still working on scripting. I'd like to keep content here, so crossposting FA stuff. I was doodling tidbits of interactions to be slotted in later, to get a feel for comics again. Biff, Craig, and Todd, with a football team night out at the bar.

Another non-PG Halloween-related comic as a bit of a follow-up to the previous one. We'd been fans of Kill La Kill for awhile, and I was trying to see how quickly I could speedpaint this, since my comics are often a...slow process. Broken into two parts for readability here.

Adding to the pile here...my mother's unrelated three best friends (two as far back as Japanese classes when they were teens) have always been referred to as "Auntie _____" by my sister and I. (And their husbands were "Uncle.") Didn't meet as many of my father's buds, but a couple were Uncle.

I must be getting old. Harper likes to hike around a local college campus. There are track/field practices or something today, a lot of college age runners, most of them shirtless. No, Bumblebee's not my favorite character. Honestly. (Tho certainly better than most kid-friendly inserts they tried.) He is, however, my favorite car growing up. I always liked cars, but I was uncool even back then. And they relatively recently got the license from VW.

FFS I was starting to figure this place out. Dunno if we can stay. While we're using modern sensibilities, the source material for the comic ITSELF was a bit...rapey. Cuz yanno, VILLAINS. Also Bond, who is def NOT the hero. So it's gonsta come up eventually. Lessee how this plays out.

One weird quirk is I used to draw lying down on my stomach, which was ok for real media. @cooner.art @projectionedge.bsky.social both lived with me sprawled out while THEY drew at, yanno, a desk. Digital, not so much. But after futzing with the settings today...I realized it's not that far off?

Warm up doodle went longer than expected. I've kinda though Alan Ritchson would make a pretty good human Vlad, body too! He's at least a decade younger, but I imagine Vlad's age-ambiguous at best. So he was the basis for the more realistic middle version, before I tooned out per usual.

Teh hubby wanted this to be part of the image, but I thought it was getting cluttered. That IS why I changed Cody's expression.

Did I hint enough that this version was coming? This would have been the intention all along....Todd is super cute, but Karl's a more balanced fit visually in many ways. I didn't design Karl originally to be DILF, but I've been practicing heavier bodies a ton...
