Being active in the fandom is tough for me sometimes. Years back I was active on the creative side of things, and it all went up in flames. Ever since it's been difficult not to be bitter.

I think about this a lot in terms of American/Pop Idol. Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain, you could make a list of a thousand legendary artists who would never have gotten past the first or second round on those shows. But like Gin says, if you dig around in the underground? Gold.

Powerlifting meet wrap up: Squat: 500 (+20 meet PR) Bench: 400 (match meet PR) Deadlift: 550 (+20 meet PR) Total: 1450 (+50 meet PR) Lost of external factors at play, didn't match my gym bests but that's fine. Plus I came in nearly 10lb lighter than before, just 232. Today was a good day.

I genuinely hate this meme and this whole mode of discussion. It has the same energy as "if you're anti-MAGA that means you DON'T want America to be great!" The people who hate Antifa aren't confused about what it's short for. They aren't unaware of what it means. They're accusing it of being a lie.

This is the only thing I'll say about the Young Republicans leaked messages. If someone's rhetoric is constantly praised by a group of people, and they make zero effort to change said rhetoric to discourage that group from aligning with them, then they are actively appealing TO that group. Period.
