I’ve gone back and forth on religion my whole life as it’s brought some people comfort while stealing comfort from others (care of bad actors who appropriate the idea of a god for hate) but the idea of a synthetic gospel song getting good with the godly is just a total mindfuck to me

Get the third novel in the Dry Spell series done in first draft -assemble a rough cut of a Canadian story anthology that’s been in looong development -work on a short story collection for various Dry Spell/Iron Ark characters that take places over a hundred year stretch. (2 down, 4 or 5 to go)

None of these guys get how much of a rush comes from having two complex plot points perfectly dove-tail, having a perfect line weight make a languid poses sensuous or finding that right note to make a chorus pop. They’re passive consumers of stuff passing by and presume everyone else must be too.

Readers of Iron Ark are gonna see why I agree Mink is totally accurate 😏

RIP Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle. He made and she produced some of the most affecting, inspiring movies of the 80’s and 90’s and onward. Too long a list to pack into several posts, but Stand By Me is still one of my favorite adaptions to screen of a literary work ever made.

Back from MFF as of crazy late last night, had an awesome time meeting friends I haven’t seen in forever. Thanks to all @furplanet.com for hosting and selling my new book, and for everybody who put together another solid con. It was amazing!

My sincere apologies to anybody I’ve run into this con if I’ve seemed occasionally spaced out or disconnected. I’m dealing with a serious-sleep issue that wakes me three or four times a night and then hit exhaustion in spurts at random points during the day. Coffee isn’t propping it well.

I'm blown away by the response to the adult furry fiction showcase. Over 120 people packed into the room to watch me talk about books. And there were over 60 people at the general showcase earlier too. I got to connect so many people with stories today. Thank you so much for coming. <3
