Finished up Scars of Golden Dancer by @nighteyes.bsky.social and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Naji and Zayn were really interesting characters and their slowly evolving connection throughout the story. I haven't seen much set in the middle east and that was down really well. Definitely recommend!

I think at some point, I'm just going to write a novel set in the 1990s. For some reason this sounds fun, but I'm still not sure why. For now, it's just in an itch in the back of my mind.

One of the bands I listen to is using AI cover art, and that really frustrates me. I've worked with great artists like @hibbary.bsky.social @kippycube.bsky.social @fruitz.bsky.social and @erkhyan.bsky.social for my book covers. I have trouble buying someone couldn't get an artist for their album.

My sketches are getting better. Also, I am finding my .7 mm mechanical pencil works really well for stuff like this. I did use a reference for this one.

I'm getting more serious about switching to Linux; last night I set my desktop up to dual boot with Linux Mint.
