Our original few dairy cow isopods had babies... A LOT of babies... @aryte.bsky.social got them a nice enclosure and today we moved in as many as we could. We found a few interesting lighter ones with none / Very few spots. Cool little guys!

Miesque weigh in - That's a 144g gain since last April! This girl is one of the rescue snakes from the hoarding situation. Sadly her brother who was rescued along with her passed a few months ago. Miesque got very lucky with her genetics compared to him. Hoping she continues to grow big & strong! 💙

I get asked why I don't say "Ball python" This species tightly balling up is typically a fear and avoidance behaviour, so I call them by their real name Python Regius (Royal Python) To me it'd be like calling myself Crying Human, somehow 🤣💙

We let female royals freeroam together but last night we let Sodey and Milton both stay out all night. They climbed everything, clearly had a great time, then curled up together by morning 💙 BEL girls slumber party

PSA nobody asked for!! 😂 I see an awful lot of art where people draw snake tongues coming out of the glottis - The snake tongue does not come from the glottis. That's their breathing tube!! 😱 The tongue lives in a more frontal spot separate from the glottis. 💙
