chloe tearing the leaves off the branch only to immediately toss it aside feels sorta similar to what she just did to mars (in an emotional sense) the branch even looks like it’s bleeding afterwards.

also I feel like chloe has a unique dynamic talking to achilles, which I like. instead of it stopping the convo every time achilles doesn’t understand a metaphor or something, she just continues. I feel like she’s not doing it on purpose, but I still like it. he’s just talking, she’s just talking.

you know, adding to the 'not convinced a 100% its purely for the bag' her dismissiveness about it when she openly likes joking about crass things, but the idea of actually Serious 4 Real makes her close up/misdirect/not even acknowledge it directly 'whatever it is they were doing'. piques me.

Seems like Chloe still isn't 100% convinced that Mars is only doing this for the money. Even though Mars told her as much, and as much as Chloe would like to believe it, she's talking about Mars as if she thinks there's still a lingering possibility that her "job" with Achilles is something more.

More long hair Chloe @batshaped.bsky.social Chloe doesn't seem the type to take care of her hair, so I wondered why her hair never changes, unlike Achilles whose hair grows longer or Pepper whose hair gets messier. I guess, even when everyone else keeps changing, "with you it's always just you"

to be honest i think the term "pet" is achingly cute. we adored these little animal friends so much that we decided to name them after the action we like to express our love for them with. that said damn go back your guys one was so good

similarly chloe doesn't want mars to know about plate, bc it's basically a major door to all her own weakness (weirdness). mars knows clair as the place least likely for chloe to hang out at. mars is the person she is least likely to want to show that vulnerability to.

Also.. ah.. mars' tree... the purple shading is overpowering the red... in trying to maintain her friendship with chloe, she's not standing up for herself at all, losing a part of herself... maaaars!!!!

something about this look feels awful shrewd. shifty even. if I didn't know better I'd say she might have taken the wrong lesson from Pepper about understanding her and said some shit to make her uncomfortable on purpose to get what she wants/needs out of this exchange

Oh... the mars- and chloe-colored trees.. the red one has been slowly getting more and more purple (as if mars is trying to let chloe in), but the purple one doesn't have any red at all (as if chloe isn't even considering mars' perspective) I'm a HFHH fan ofc i'm gonna hyperanalyse the colors

maintaining normalcy is kind of a huge theme in halo head I feel like, considering clair's mission. chloe and clair both want a kind of preserved status quo. their mind palace demons don't seem to share the same sentiment tho. maybe mars will tell her the truth? tho that also might be too easy
