Was reading some Artemis II launch stuff on NASA's site, and learned this awesome fact: "At Launch Pad 39B, teams will begin filling the sound suppression system’s massive tank with water, which will unleash a protective deluge at liftoff to shield the vehicle from the roar of its own engines."

One of the weirdest car-brained things I see: people posting videos complaining about a new protected bike lane being built -- and the videos were made with their phones while driving, which is illegal and unsafe. You're just proving the point that cyclists need protection from unsafe drivers.

This is one of the most offensive, victim blaming videos I’ve ever seen on pedestrian safety. Appalling that a county government thinks this is humorous. For me, someone who’s been hit by a car while walking as well as nearly missed many hundreds of times, it wasn’t funny, it was triggering.

I’ve got mixed feelings about about the next Artemis launch. I’m so excited for humanity to do this but also not sure if my body can handle being worried for the astronauts who will be on board.

I’m sharing this because gatekeeping in the cycling community has to stop. If our collective goal is to get people out of cars, we cannot attack the exact tools that make a car-light lifestyle possible. E-cargo bikes eliminate excuses. Let people use the tool that works best for them.
