If there’s nothing a politician can do to lose your vote (read: literal genocide!) then your vote is already worthless. (It’s also worthless for a number of other reasons.) You should vote on ballot measures and maybe some local offices but don’t support war criminals.

I want so badly to see consequences for the people who’ve cheered on genocide the last few weeks but maybe that’s not the world we live in. If anything people are being rewarded for it. The only people I’ve seen facing consequences are the ones trying to stop it.

If there’s anything we can learn from how many Americans are willing openly to support genocide, it’s that the first task of any revolution is to crush the counterrevolution.
