NEWâI got an exclusive excerpt from a USAID whistleblower's new book that made me gasp multiple times. It details Trump's dismantling of the humanitarian aid agency & his team/DOGE's shocking ignorance to public health. 'Into the Wood Chipper' by Nicholas Enrich is out tomorrow. Read excerpt here:

It strikes me that even in things like the Matrix where they're all in simulation, it's a shared simulation. One horror of the chatbot is that everyone is isolated into their own reality with the amplifying social permission of a group, and none of the friction

Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school. Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon! đ đ

You will get sued into oblivion if you report on it based on rumor. And I know journalists who have been sued even when they had testimonial from a named survivor with corroborating documentary evidence.

You must learn to hate the aristocracy as much as it hates you. It changes shape, tosses aside old husks like "divine right of kings" and "bloodlines" and slides right into slick new shells like "meritocracy".

âIt comes down to this: The press, because of its own conventions and time-honored practices, normalizes him, and thus fails to get across the extreme nature of this presidentâs behavior. Ten years of sane-washing have had their effect. He remains in power, reelected, undeterred.â

It's impolite to call Musk a genocidal white nationalist because "civility" in American discourse functions not as a neutral procedural norm but as an asymmetric weapon to shield the powerful from accurate moral characterization while policing the tone of those who object.
