If men with guns and masks tried to pull me out of my car, I'd fight back. Courts should reject any claims by the government that this is aggression by the person being detained, resisting arrest, or that they're a flight risk.

Never before in American history has one state's military force been deployed in another state over its objection. I say never because the Civil War involved states whose governments legally ceased to exist, their offices vacated by constructive resignation, with no legitimate governors to object.

Easy messaging win for Dems, "you can't have [good thing] because Trump is spending $20B to subsidize the failures of some libertarian clown abroad." And, no, Dems shouldn't support it because it's "foreign aid." It's a right-wing clown bailout. Supporting it trivializes and undermines foreign aid.

US Readies $20 Billion Rescue to Help Milei Win in Argentina
The US plans to extend a $20 billion swap line to Argentina and is ready to buy the country’s foreign bonds, providing much-needed financial support to President Javier Milei as he tries to regain investor confidence and stem a run on the peso.

It’s amazing that Dems don’t see that their base has totally lost confidence in leadership and therefore some heads need to roll in leadership to restore confidence *even if* behavior does not significantly change. It’s genuinely elitism.

Ah yes... pricing your loss leader out of reach for your audience will certainly combat losses due to tariffs. $650 for a console that cost $500 at launch is just... magical. For those keeping track, we've now seen Xbox prices increase 30% instead of decrease during this generation.

SNL should run a normal show, with the slight addition that every sketch has three or four men dressed up like ICE agents and FCC officials standing in the background looking menacing. Maybe they disappear Colin Jost in the middle of Weekend Update too.

I am just going to keep posting that the TX governor recently pardoned a political murderer. The dude texted "I'm going to shoot protestors", then went and shot a Black Lives Matter protester. He was convicted in a jury trial. Hard to find a more blatant example of celebrating political violence.

yes. you can’t do this “my good friends on the other side” bullshit anymore. you have to brand them as unacceptable in a civilized society and punish them for what they’ve done using every tool at your disposal otherwise you’re simply signaling to voters that their behavior is in-bounds

This sort of admission—the VP is involved in prosecutorial decisions, the "concerns" arise from political actors, and the administration knows they don't have probable cause—would have prompted the Founders to impeach everyone involved.

How is anyone supposed to reasonably believe these people are law enforcement? They're masked, anyone can buy a CBP hat and a POLICE patch, and why would a real gov't agent wear insignia suggesting they're both federal border patrol AND state/local police? They're dressed like amateur carjackers.
