I don’t have an opinion about the piece in Science or the explanation of the use of ChatGPT as a search engine but I think the way people piled on the Editor-in-Chief of the Science journals is really shitty and will likely mean he’ll stop posting here when we could really benefit from his presence.

Over 10% of mouse genes are embedded within another. So how does the cell deal with two RNA polymerases transcribing the same sequence? In our new study, we show that transcriptional interference drives termination of an incoming RNA polymerase using the imprinted locus H13/Mcts2 as a model.
