Been saying this re: why Trump & nem want to destroy the 14th Amendment, aka birthright citizenship. The initial intent of the 14th Amendment was to make Black Americans, who were a 'stateless class' of people post-Civil War, into citizens. Citizens can argue rights; stateless ppl can't.

I'm not trying to downplay the seriousness of the ruling. But it is limited to one lady in Colorado who may get a preliminary injunction allowing her to perform conversion talk therapy. It's a narrow ruling. The merits are still live. We gotta live in that narrowness. ADF wants us to despair.
