For anyone not in Alberta or not paying attention, girls playing sports in school now have to prove they were born female to play sports. And can be challenged by anyone at anytime and must prove they are female to keep playing. This doesn’t apply to boys. What a dystopian hellscape

CNN has identified at least 100 U.S. citizen children who have been separated from their parents after ICE deported them - including newborns. As a parent I cannot imagine the horror of being separated from my child, but that trauma is even more acute for the innocent children left behind.

The concentration of wealth in the hands of a few isn't just bad for our economy. It's corrosive to our democracy. When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, regular people don't have a voice. The result? The demagoguery and corruption we're seeing now.

For all of our Canadian superiority mentality, we really just don't get how far as a country we are down the slippery slope. Just because we might be (arguable) better off than some countries in terms of the slide to fascism, doesn't mean we get to celebrate it, its a constant struggle and battle

The only thing I want to be hearing from the news about the Air Canada lockout of its flight attendants is that a new hire right now makes about $1952/month. AirCanada who have had record growth over the last 20 years, has offered to increase that to $2108/month. Both numbers are below minimum wage.
