Weirdest CSA change is Spotlight Awards: "presented to eligible Canadians working on non-Canadian certified television series" - that is international television series made in Canada. This is where Mae Martin's Wayward - "a Netflix Canadian original" but not official CanCon - got some noms.

FWIW, I’m not on board with non-Canadian citizens/PRs no longer being eligible for CSAs acting noms in TV. (That’s why there’s no Connor Storrie nod.)

Most awards are only really useful as promotional tools. So the Canadian Screen Awards were going to miss out if Heated Rivalry wasn’t nominated until 2027… This is good for the industry - but a little transparency would also be good as would a permanent eligibility window change to mid-December.
