A thing I am reminded of every time I pop in to watch this is that living in Orion for 10 days is severely no-frills. The Shuttle or ISS are like a nice apartment that your hoarder friend lets you crash in. Orion is four people sleeping in a broom closet and the toilet is dicey.

Pointing to an extremely funny mastodon thread about the Claude Code leak. My favourite comment, it's a "dogshit tornado". Basically it's brute forcing non-deterministic model behaviour all the way down, which of course is not surprising. But also hella inefficient with no standard methods.

From Integrity on the livestream just after midnight Eastern -- it's been a very long time since any human has seen a full disk Earth like that. No easy read of altitude but more than halfway to 70,000km apogee so probably somewhat past geosynchronous?

Likewise I find all arguments based on whether or not the Harry Potter books/movies/games/theme parks/toys are "good" to be extremely tiresome. It doesn't matter. They could be great but they still explicitly fund harm to trans people so stop buying them.

So I dunno, do your own moral calculations I guess, but I have a real hard time seeing how "it's ok to fund the transphobia machine" is a feminist or liberatory stance unless I guess you're a feminist in the same sense a TERF is.

Watching a feminist rabbi argue that it's ok to give money to JKR and I just. She is actively using that money to harm people. Like to explicitly, actively campaign to harm trans people. When you give her money, that's what you are funding.
