Australiaâs medical and scientific research sectors save lives and are vital to our economy. The government has to step up and lean in to their potential. Itâs small-minded and short-sighted to force them to wither on the vine, when we have money put aside for this purpose in the Future Fund.

It pains me to say this, but if you are not a US citizen, you should not attend scientific conferences in the US, visit US institutions, or otherwise travel to our country. Right now it's not worth the risk. Hopefully that will change. If it doesn't, science in the US is sunk anyway.

Nuclear is roughly five times the cost of wind and solar, it also requires 11 to 12 times the lead time. That means you could install and generate between 55 and 60 kWh of renewable energy for each dollar spent, by the time you'd be ready to generate just 1 kWh from a nuke.
