Congratulations to Aleksandra Janowska who has won our Postgraduate Student Thesis Prize for her work unlocking new avenues for studying the role of cell identity in the origin of cancer. The Prize is awarded yearly to a student undertaking an outstanding project during their PhD study with us.

A new drug for improving the experience of patients receiving treatment for pancreatic cancer has now entered a clinical trial. Doctors hope the drug, known as VP-002, will allow for lower doses of chemotherapy, reducing its side effects and improving patient experience.

Outreach is vital to our mission, so we were delighted to welcome Year 10 students from Thomas Clarkson Academy to take part in a Cambridge Launchpad project day with Form the Future. All activities were chosen to inspire students to consider both scientific and non-scientific roles within research.
