This 24th year of 9/11, I spent the evening with my beautiful friends, the family of SPC Chin Sun Pak Wells, known to her loved ones as "Sunny." She perished in the attack on The Pentagon. We have had many of these dinners over the years. I cherish each one.

in 1973 my mother & i went to her bank to have her ex taken off the bank account, only to be told she'd need a cosigner and to bring in her *father*. she was 35. she did NOT need a cosigner to close the account, so she did that instead (& opened an account at the small local bank sans cosigner)

I have been thinking about the Socratic method and how quickly it's disregarded. While being asked probing questions, you examine your own convictions and beliefs, and come to your own independent conclusions. Self-discovery. No one is directly telling you what to think.
