Nose- pine scented cleaner, vanilla, linseed oil, buttered crumpets, vegetal, and it’s dusty too. With more time I’d say there’s a mix of plasticine with a dash of lime. #olddrams

On the nose - Initially it’s quite fruity, with red apples and morello cherry pie. Chocolate coated ginger biscuits follow, hickory infused black coffee, and the nose increases in strength, it’s coming across nice and spicy too. @spiritofbirmingham.bsky.social

I’m about to pour this from @circumstancewhisky.bsky.social. This whisky was created from organic malted barley, un-malted barley and roasted barley. The grains were mashed and fermented on saison yeast, Belgian abbey yeast and a strong ale yeast for 14 days. #whiskywednesday

Right as Rain thoughts - I do enjoy a well put together blended whisky, and this one is rather nice. The ABV comes across higher than it is imho, and it has a nice range of flavours, with spiciness, what’s not to like. #TheBordersDistillery

Right as Rain 🏁 - Short in length, with a mixture of molasses, pickled gherkin juice, and some vegetal notes, damp leaf littler, and cigar leaves. #TheBordersDistillery

Right as Rain 👅 - It’s quite spicy on the palate. White pepper, lime zest, eucalyptus, grapefruit pith, black liquorice, and for 40% ABV it has a noticable mouthfeel. Blood oranges and pomegranate seeds now, and chocolate dipped strawberries. #TheBordersDistillery
