Dot 5 Finish - Very long, very high ABV, so fruity and spicy, certainly not for a whisky novice. makes up for the other 4 drams for me, I'll give this a 4. #BlindDrams

#BlindDrams 5 dot Finish: lingering berry notes, dry tannins and a little salinity. Scores a solid 4

#BlindDrams 5 dot Palate: thick sweet arrival, a little drying, berries and cherries from the nose with honey, toffee and a little milk chocolate.

D4 "Like a cigar that's been dipped in a pinot noir" That's what she said Another lovely dram and again at a good price would consider a bottle of it. It's not quite good enough to have me racing out to get it, so based on that our sequential scoring ends as we give Dram 4 a 3/5 #BlindDrams

Ok then shall we move on to the final dram of the evening - Dram 5? Appearance & Nose please!

4 Score In a galaxy far far away, Brian picked 5 drams as good as this one for a blind tasting. But the galaxy was far, far away, unfortunately. Score a very well deserved 4. #BlindDrams

D4 Feels very red wine influenced here. Tannins and dry with a ton. blackcurrant, books, tobacco...this one might well be a port finish, more ruby than tawny though (watch this be a tawny...) With water there's a ton of maraschino cherry there Tastes old, but every chance it isn't. #BlindDrams

Dram 4 scores a 4. Thats a 1,2,3,4 score so Dram 5 should be a 5!! #BlindDrams

#BlindDrams 4 dot Finish: lingering spice, berries and a little citrus zest. Scores a solid 3

#BlindDrams 4 dot Palate: thick sweet arrival, the salted caramel chocolate and cherry notes from the nose carry through. Blackberries and almond notes follow. Some orange marmalade notes and a peppery spice as the liquid disappears.

Dram 4 nose is industrial. Jammy, fruity, meaty. Yummy! #BlindDrams

Dram 3 Palate: quite sweet, mixed berry yogurt, also spicy, black pepper, spearmint. #BlindDrams

D4 This one singes the nose. A subtle wood shavings smell. It smells old, a dusky dusty bureau and old books. There's also red wine like tannins and faint dark berries and burnt toffee sauce. #BlindDrams

I tried rubbing a little of it into the back of my hand. It smells like the back of my hand #BlindDrams

#BlindDrams 3 dot Palate: surprisingly thin arrival but mouth coating. Sweet concentrated jam notes, orange marmalade and some honey. Lots of berry and cherry hints with a lingering cinnamon spice.
