1st whisky this evening is the new Glen Scotia. This is amazing stuff, tasty and great value. If you haven’t tried it, you need too. We have company this evening, John is about to try it for the first time. I’m interested to hear his thoughts.

The upcoming 2025 special release of Teaninich Single Grain 8 Year Old (Rye) bottled at 60.3% & rumoured to be £110 with no 20cl option, matured in ex-bourbon. Interesting as I didn’t realise Teaninich also did grain 🤨 Still no press release from Diageo about the distillery being mothballed.

It would have been really easy for Glen Scotia to have charged £50+ for their new 12 Year Old, but they didn’t. I think £45 is a reasonable and considerate price. Other distilleries should take note. The market has changed.
