for me dram of the night was the first!

ON THE FINISH almost grassy, with smoke to follow, the abv is punchy and shows when u swallow it! its got a heat but is expected at 60.5% - i dont add water to my drams so for me a little to punchy on the end! but im still enjoying it! #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

ON THE PALATE its creamy, its smokey its full of character and cherries are right at the front, theres a big bang of smoke in this one that feels like it wants to take over but the fruity creamy notes hold it back well! #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

Lastly in the tasting we have this STR Ex red wine cask! this one i have been looking forward to as i like a red wine cask dram! on the nose im getting a nuttyness like a cherry bakewell with custard love that i hope it tastes as good! #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

finish on this is like raisins and prune juice with smoke to follow it right to the end, i quite like the balance of this and its got an almost waxy mouthfeel too! #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

ON THE PALATE - this is all the way olorosso with smoke to boot but not to much, its like a burnt bit from the xmas pudding, nice and slightly bitter yet sweet at the same time #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

3rd in tonights tasting is the Ex Olorosso sherry butt - on the nose im getting earthy smokeyness and a little chocolate like, also getting the raisins and grapes coming thru in this one #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

FOR THE FINISH - its got a smooth creamy finish, the sweetness really hangs on to the last vapour. its nice but a tad to sweet for my palate :( #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

ON THE PALATE straight away im hit with more berries n cherries and also getting sweet honey and toffee never thought id say this but this hits a little to sweet for me and i like sweetness! #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

UP NEXT the Double Oaked Ex Bourbon - On the nose right off the bat im getting cherries and rhubarb crumble, and im smelling the wood too thats different! #AnnandaleWhisky #BePartOfTheDramfotainment #Scotch #Whisky

the 28 year old fettercairn goes nutty in the mouth im getting spices, coffee, earthy notes but still having the creamy like finish of an ice cream, very tasty it is a real party on the tastebuds! dram of the night for me! #FettercairnWhisky

now its time for the Fettercairn 28 year old! this one straight on the nose im getting bannana and vanilla, like a syruppy bannana fritter from the chinese takeaway! with some rich creamy notes in it too, YUMMY #FettercairnWhisky

On the palate its gone from the tropical fruits to spiced fruit and an almost treacle like note to it with a lil bit of clove, im getting raisins and a little pineapple again with this one, i feel for me its a little to heavy on the treacle taste tho unfortunately, not a fav :( #FettercairnWhisky
