there are so many rad tiny details in Terminator that I notice because I've seen it 500 times For example, the way that the Terminator punches *through* a pillow when he strikes it as a subtle reminder that he's superhumanly strong, or when he aims his laser guided pistol at the answering machine

God, you know, rewatching Terminator, I'm struck how...genuinely scary Arnie is as he sloowwwly sits up after being shot by a shotgun, like, 14 times. If you put yourself in the shoes of Sarah (easy thanks to Linda Hamilton's excellent acting as she watches him get up), it's REALLY FRIGHTENING

Underrated part of Terminator 1 is the absolute BANGER disco tracks they use, Photoplay and Burning in the Third Degree are baller tracks and I wish I could buy them somewhere but I've never found them available anywhere???

also, termination is common enough that they have procedures about it - people like kyle have been doing this in the future with...admittedly, lower stakes and better guns - for a while now. Honestly, for all we know, Kyle has *done* this exact thing before, with...like, plasma guns

"i'm sergeant, TechCom, DN1893, here to protect you - you've been targeted for termination" is one of those terse lines of dialog that says a lot about the world. Like, the human resistance in the future is...really well organized, they have serial numbers and IDs and ranks
