Ruin a band with law Legalese of Death Metals

The equinox has me thinking about gratitude, so today, I'd like to share one of the inspirations behind CROSSROADS. Most of you probably already know about HELLEBORE, a zine from the UK about folk horror and folk lore.

Rewatched Peeping Tom recently, and yep, still a masterpiece. So much contemporary commentary on voyeurism seems to focus on eroticism and objectification of women. Peeping Tom does that, too, but it's saying something deeper and more wide-ranging about seeing, being seen, and identity.

Calling all American folklorists, pop culture critics, historians, and artists! Please take a look at the call for proposals for Crossroads, a magazine dedicated exclusively to folk horror in the United States. Our first issue will be dedicated to the 1970s.

Just rewatched Penda's Fen, which was perfect equinox viewing (despite being a spring film) because of its themes of balancing light and dark and inhabiting all kinds of liminal spaces. Highly recommended.
