Announcing this week's #FolkHorrorFriday watch: THE WIND (2018). We're going with something more contemporary but still undeniably American, a film about white settlers facing something menacing on the prairie.

A US-focused folk horror zine might have been nothing more than a lovely idea if it hadn't been for @scaryasfolk.bsky.social, who has been asking many of the same questions and exploring many of the same concerns all along.

The seed for Crossroads was planted in March last year, when @theharvestmaid.bsky.social posted an essay on her blog about the desire to see a US folk horror zine in the vein of popular British publications like Hellebore, Hwaet, and Weird Walk.
