man i know you're pushing back against right-wing propaganda, but it's still weird to be THAT proud of how peaceful/lawful/patriotic your protest was, bc that's not something *you* get to decide to be, unilaterally! that's something the state decides you get to be (until it doesn't)!

The last 48 hours have shown why people have stopped relying on legacy journalism and have migrated to independent journalists in droves. The benefit of legacy journalism is supposed to be βeditorsβ and βfactcheckingβ and they canβt even get that right in a rush to blame trans people.

In 1890, the X and Y chromosomes were discovered. It was found that the men who were tested had 46 chromosomes, including an X and a Y, while women who were tested also had 46 chromosomes, including 2 X chromosomes. So obviously the conclusion was that the Y chromosome defined masculinity.

The thing about trade deficits, is, odds are you buy a hell of a lot more onions from the supermarket than they buy from you. That is a trade deficit in onions, a huge one because odds are you haven't sold them even a single onion. Imagine getting so angry at this you set fire to the store.

i sound like a broken record at this point but i think one of the most damaging developments in internet communities (and also the internet in general) is creating spaces where any unqualified idiot is allowed to be wrong as fuck as long as they "mean well" and you're not allowed to be mean to them

Cybertrucks with, "I got this before Elon became a dick," no you didn't. Cybertrucks hit the market Nov 2023, the same month he started spouting antisemitic conspiracy theories on "X" and it's only been a rapid downhill ever since. And also, you're just generally a dick for buying that POS.

old Soviet joke for our times: Guy stops by the newsstand every day, scans the front page, doesnβt buy the paper. One day the vendor asks what heβs up to. Guy says: βlooking for an obituary.β Vendor says βthose are towards the back of the paper, comrade.β Guy says: βnot the one Iβm looking for.β
