I don't agree with any Dead Asriel theories since like, where's the narrative payoff? All of Hometown's adults are refusing to address the tragedy that happened with Dess, her presence haunts chapters 1 and 2. Making Asriel *also* be dead and/or missing eliminates so much of Noelle's relevance.
