Rose Valland saved thousands of paintings looted from the Jews of France. Not all Nazi-looted art was found. I FOUND some of it in the National Museum in Belgrade, Serbia. Valland knew it was there but couldn't retrieve it. My book is coming out in a few months and you can read all about it there!

I have family members who do this, who use ChatGPT as a therapist, friends who gave their elderly parents access so they can talk to a bot and be "less lonely," I mean people have gone completely insane. I feel like I am the old lady in back screaming for her fax machine to be fixed.

It's impossible and irresponsible to assign takehome papers any more. It's either writing, by hand, in class, or oral exams, or some other type of active project (I had students go to the library archive, conduct interviews, document their archival research etc). No papers, no reading reports. Hell.

I keep trying to hammer the point that LLMs do a much better job replacing the work of MBAs and coders than liberal arts majors.
