we're watching a recording of the premiere of goosebumps the haunted mask on the crt I actually remember watching this the night it premiered, both my parents were out and I was home alone, I genuinely got a little spooked since we lived out in the middle of nowhere

Everyone talks about goosebumps and scary stories to tell in the dark but I want to know if anyone else had experiences with these books too?

We have broken out the Halloween books, decorations, and costumes at the #LittleFreeLibrary #SkyView in #FerndaleWA. First the books: lots of Goosebumps books by R.L. Stine. Decorations include new lights, two ghosts, and our skeleton mascots. This brings us to the not-too-scary hats and capes.

Just answered a question on this panel and RL Stine was like “that’s a good answer.” So I got that going for me.

It’s another Saturday at the Library!!! And today I get to be a children’s librarian for a bit. I have rearranged all the displays, putting out the spookiest books I could find. It’s all RL Stine, Christopher Pike, and Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark as far as the eye can.

Anyways did anyone read this book as a kid

Ultimate thrift find today: a 1st edition Goosebumps I'm missing with a vintage bookmark in it! Back in the day the books would have tear away bookmarks, masks, cards, or stickers. Finding these loose, let alone unripped in their books, is beyond rare! The bookmark alone goes for around $19.

kids "scary" shows were cool because they'd just take some random premise like this baseball lets whoever last hit a home run with it see what other people are imagining, and we were all like hell yeah let's go, but then, uh oh, a situation so we learn why we don't want that baseball curse after all
