We sadly share the news that filmmaker Yoshihiro Nishimura has passed away at the age of 59. Yoshihiro is best known for his films Tokyo Gore Police, Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl, and his segment in ABC’s of Death as well as his effects work in Suicide Club, Machine Girl, and so many more.

Hammer’s Horror of Dracula, starring the legendary Christopher Lee, will be returning to theaters for Halloween with previously censored scenes considered too gruesome restored. This new release will also be available for at home viewing at a date to be announced.

When considering vampire films, Near Dark stands out as a significantly underrated movie. I was able to explore some of its filming locations in Arizona while on vacation.
