🐢 Saw this critter in the back yard today. A rare sighting! I'm lucky to see a turtle once a year and it's always a relief to know they're still around.

☠️ I heard giggling in the upper yard as I was beginning to weed the garden. Found an adorned Alfalfa sitting on a branch, spying on me. He won't reveal his evening plans, as usual. I then told him crows like shiny things. He shrieked in terror. He was gone when I finished weeding. LOL!

Hummingbird moth (a type of Sphinx moth) on lilac flowers. I've seen the moths with different colors. This is the first one of the season!

😼 Niblet Ann's second time out this year. We almost didn't have a photo today because LAST TIME she was out she went missing...until 10:20 PM. It almost killed me searching and coming up empty. I had resigned myself to the fact she was gone and would not make it through the night.🥺 So naughty!

☠️ Alfalfa raided someone's #Easter basket today and has taken a 🐇hostage. He's quite smug about it, too. He's wearing his new #Peeps helmet and has stolen another knife. He's been tormented by real bunnies lately, so I guess this isn't surprising. He's pathetic.🙄

☠️ Alfalfa is wearing a bug 🪲 on his head and mangling french (probably) again. He tells me,"C'est mon l'insecte de Juin chapeau!" June bug does NOT like Alf. Alf says the rift dates back to the days of the pharoahs when all the scarab beetles despised him for some unspecified reason. Of, course.🙄

Old lilac beginning to bloom! Don't know the name of the hybrid but has been on this property for at least 50 years. I saved another from my neighbor who kills shrubs ON MY PROPERTY!

🐸 Sound only. Tree frog hiding by my back door. Can't disturb anything to film it so you get sound only. There are three calling to each other in recent days. One always likes to hide by the back door!

Tonight's moon. Kinda mad I couldn't get an earlier photo while shopping. The moon was lower and huge!

🦃 Turkeys!!! Excited to see one adult and six juveniles today!

☠️ Heard Alfalfa wailing somewhere in the yard and came across this. Yes, this is his pet pumpkin from last September, it's petrified. Alf's blubbering away. I'm not too sympathetic due to his recent threats upon my life, but there may be a proper burial. Of course, a critter will dig it back up.🙄

Temperature swings are KILLING me! 91°F yesterday, today 54°F, tonight 29°F. High heat 🔥🥵🔥 in MARCH! 84°F coming monday. Awful fluctuations. Some plants are coming back. Here is Baptisia Australis/False Indigo saying, "Hello! I'm back!" #Gardening

☠️ Alfalfa is now securely tied to the Brick Of Shame with added sprinkle of BBQ Fritos. I told him raccoons and coyotes are very active lately. I paused for a moment and we heard quiet footsteps approaching in the leaves. I'm not up for it tonight! Tiny idiot should be regretting it by now!😡

🌚 The moon tonight. Looks full but it isn't. Small clouds moving quickly and a few stars.

LOL! My t-shirt selection today. I just realized I have this on and am doing yard and garden work now. It was the only clean lightweight shirt I have because we're going between very cold temps to very hot temps. I still have my winter clothes out. Appropriate, I think. #Halloween #Gardening

☠️ Checked on Alfalfa tonight. Looks like he got into my #Halloween decorations again. He threatened to "slice and dice or flabe" me with the utility blade. He means FLAY, by the way. I threatened him with a water balloon(something that paralyzes him with fear.) LOL! Little punk!

🍅🌶 I did a STUPID thing on Friday. I bought a flat of 48 plants, tomatoes and peppers, for $19.99. I don't know one person who gardens, so I can't give away extras. Gardening fever is a curse! (Had to buy early because the husky size bib-overalled farmers clear out trays of veggies every year!)

☀️🥶From high of 88°F today to 39°F tonight to 55°F tomorrow. Getting VERY windy, temp is beginning to drop. I may not recover. I guess I'll move the plants in again. (The wind is definitely cool air, guess it will get colder.)

☠️ I decided to check on the progress of Alfalfa's hunt for chipmunks🐿. He has proudly captured a kiwifruit🥝🥝🥝! I can see where he mixed things up, both are roundish and fuzzy. Anyone would make the same mistake.🙄

Does anyone else get depressed when it gets HOT🔥 outside? The extreme temperatures so far this year are really messing with my existence.

☠️ Alfalfa is now trying to catch a chipmunk🐿. He says he wants to put a saddle on it ond go chipmunkback riding? He's really getting on my nerves.

☠️ Alfalfa skulking around the old shed. Why? There is a big, floofy bunny 🐇hiding in that area! He's trying to exact revenge on the bunnies in the yard who continue to startle him, those who ruin his heinous plans to harm all (almost all) lifeforms. Doubtful it will work, he's terrified of them.🙄

☠️ PSA! Alfalfa gives his annual #SevereWeather and #tornado advice. He reminds you to have a hard hat, first aid kit (bandage on his head today), flashlight, food, water (NOT bleach, he's tricky!), and charged phone on hand for #SevereStorm emergencies. (He already ate all the cookies.😡)

☠️ Alfalfa's FEAR face! LOL♾️! He tells me he was going to battle it out with the raptors, conquer his fear of them for once and for all! I told him I saw a hawk flying with the vultures this morning, and now we have this.🙄Now he'll be publicly shamed for his idiocy. I should've left him for the🦉!

☠️ Alfalfa is ready to battle...something? Looks like he found one of my vintage Halloween swizzle sticks, I immediately took it back. He ran toward the tree line, startled a bunny🐇, then appeared to faint/play dead. My afternoon has improved.

☠️After midnight last night, I placed Alfalfa in yet another circle of salt with a clove of garlic due to this being #Friday13. For YOUR protection. He was there this morning, just as I left him. Arrived home. He now has a confetti PEEP and a piece of string cheese (he gnawed on it.) Devilkin!

☠️ Alfalfa's first successful ambush of the year.🙄 Yes, I am a wildebeest (so says Alfalfa.) Luckily, no shoe damage. When Alf wants blood he usually waits until I have bare feet. I dread the warm seasons. The stinky punk ran off. Hope the owls 🦉start hanging out in my yard soon! LOL!

They survived the winter! Baby Glow Girl Spirea shrubs. These have white flowers and leaves turn orange in fall. Grow to be 4 feet tall, I think.

☠️ Alfalfa made it to the pond today with the stolen ducky! He tied himself to the ducky because he was fearing the peeper frogs 🐸 would overtake his duck. Do you know how tiny peeper frogs are? LOL!

☠️ LOL! Alfalfa's nest was disturbed and a critter hollowed out a gourd. He's weeping at the moment. I told him now he knows how it feels when he trashes my stuff. I told him he should protect the other gourds, hoping it will keep himself busy for a while. Will check on him later.🙄

☠️ Caught Alfalfa dragging a friend to one of his nests. Never too early to prepare for #Halloween, I guess! (No, his friend does not have the special abilities that Alf has. Alfalfa is the freakish result of a chaotic universe.)

☠️ I ran outside because I heard a kitten in distress!!! THIS is what I find on the road. I would kill Alfalfa IF I could kill Alfalfa!🤬

☠️ 2/2 Definitely unnatural! Alfalfa has stolen a ducky! I think he was making his way to the pond for a float trip. I removed the rotten pygmy thief from the bush and took away the ducky. Alf took off and I heard him singing Xanadu (Olivia Newton John) in the distance as he fled. Creep.

☠️ 1/2 Was checking the back yard for any litter that had been caught in the brush over winter. Spied something unnatural.

🦟Less than 2 weeks ago there was a lot of snow and it was VERY COLD. Today, February 18, there have been 2 mosquitoes flying around me. It's at least 70°F right now. Not normal!!! Damn!

☠️ 💘 Valentine's day with Alfalfa. Decided to continue to work on organizing the holiday stuff in the cabinets and was greeted with a jump scare from the devilkin. He dematerialized in an instant (skills), and is probably still lurking in the house. I suddenly have a headache.

☠️ While Alfalfa was confined within his salt circle yesterday, I came across one of his nests. Found the gourds from last fall, devil Domo (could not find it for Halloween), and yet another knife. Now that the snow is gone, I need to be wary of booby traps set by the tiny ghoul who is now free. 🙄
