Nvidia roasting aside: the games industry needs to have a serious conversation about its obsessive chase for realism. We are SO FAR PAST the point of diminishing returns, especially when consumer hardware is so goddamn expensive nobody can even play games at max settings anyways.

And even then, having a more realistic cloth sim does not make the game more fun, nor will it sell more copies because of it. It's a nice novelty when you walk through a curtain for the first time and go "oooh" then you forget about it for the rest of the experience.
